What remains at the end of a strong love? In Susana Sawoff’s and Raphael Meinhart’s case the answer is: music. With EXIT UNIVERSE, they have rediscovered each other in the form of an artistic duo. Their debut album, “Because the World is Round” sets to music the remarkable symbiotic bond these two people have created: over the course of 13 songs, a heart-warming intimacy and emotional depth becomes tangible through a detailed world of sound. Their music floats somewhere between Jazz, Indie and Neoclassic and is in this way similar to Chilly Gonzales, Steve Reich and Radiohead. The two Austrians weave soft, clear and beguilingly beautiful melodies using singing, the piano, the vibraphone, the marimba, percussion and the carillon.
